    CURRENT MOOD BOARD

    April 10, 2019

A warm jacket is like a hug on a cold day - and with that said, I am extremely honored + excited for The Warmth Project's second appearance on the blog. This year, there was a little twist in plans where instead of thrifting each jacket to donate, I decided that donations would be put towards a wholesale order of jackets so that more people can be involved. Collectively, we raised $1500 that went towards warm jackets for those who need it most. That number still baffles me because I can't believe that so many of you were just as passionate...

The sun blessed us in San Francisco today so I decided to come to the beach and study. It's amazing how powerful and positive I've been feeling since the beginning of the year. Not because something magical happened and my pessimism went away, but because I told myself I wouldn't tolerate me getting in the way of my own happiness anymore. In the past I've felt the need to make a change, but never truly felt confident enough to the point where I actually believed that I could be the woman I wanted to be. But that belief didn't appear one day...

Red is my mother's favorite color. A vibrant hue that screams confidence, curiosity, and fearlessness. That's how I've seen it my whole life. But lately, when I think of red, I think pain, confusion, and that flustered feeling that you get when anxiety comes knocking at your door and won't take no for an answer. My last blog post was in February, and when I say that it has taken me four months to build up the courage to write a new one, I mean it.  Even the day that I took these pictures, until the very last minute, I was considering just h...

A factory + chocolate bar located in the heart of San Francisco with a mission to redefine what we see as good chocolate. From sourcing high quality beans, to crafting, and hand packaging each chocolate bar in their factory – it’s easy to tell that their goal is not only indulgence, but also the education, and exploration of chocolate. Welcome to the Conservatory of Flowers - step inside and experience an alternate universe where plants thrive and good vibes flow in the air. There is a sense of peace, calm, and wellness. The air is subtly warm. The sound of birds chirping echoes from room to room. All facilities dedicated to physical and mental healing should look like this. It is proven that being in the presence of nature is one of the strongest healing powers there is out there. They don't just say to "stop and smell the roses" because it sounds romantic. They say it b...

“I wear black because I like it. Wearing it means something to me. It's my symbol of rebellion -- against a stagnant status quo, against our hypocritical houses of God, against people whose minds are closed to others' ideas.”
    ― Johnny Cash

There’s something about the color black and the concept of darkness that people seem to repel. I live for that reaction, for that question mark that pops up above their heads when they ask, “Why do you always dress in such dark colors?” My connection with the color black is more than a simple aesthetic. I...

It baffles me when I think about the state of the world today – compared to the state of the world in the past, and I realize that not only are things the same, but somehow managing to get worse. Todays post brings those feelings into actual strings of words and revolves around the “World War Tour Tee” by Rebel 8 in collaboration with Killer Mike, who is a rapper, and activist that stands for current day issues similar to what the BPP stood for. I’m a huge advocate for using fashion as a visual platform to bring awareness about the world in...

We all know the divine feeling of visiting a newly discovered, cozy, coffee spot. Or, atleast I do. But even though I'm a coffee & aesthetic enthusiast, I always crave being able to get that "high quality" coffee at home, in bed, while watching some Netflix or reading a book. Going to fancy spots is great but it can get a bit tiring and out of the way so easily. Virtuous coffee happened to see the excessive coffee posts on my feed (which I am oh so proud of) and reached out to me to try their product. First of all let me make it clear that...

No more boring days. No more waking up early. No more Mondays. No more morning alarms. No more stress. No more lists. If only that were a possibility.

Plans to take over the world and conquer one thing after the other circle my mind 24/7. At times I can't help myself no matter how much I try. Along with being blessed enough to be able to achieve some of my biggest goals this year, my next goal, is to teach myself to say "no more" once in a while. I run on empty and jump from one thing to another, pushing myself to the brink, until my body h...

Stepping out of my comfort zone with fashion is honestly what helped me step out of my comfort zone in other aspects of my life. It's crazy how it all correlates for me. Growing up I can say that I was a pretty timid kid - and I always felt as if I was beneath others because I didn't have much to offer in terms of confidence and social skills. Long story short - I went from being the kid who was made fun of and afraid to talk to people - to the complete opposite. I feel that journey of mine started through fashion. Here I was, suddenly intr...
